Wind Turbine Contract

 
Wind Turbine contract is well underway while the sun is out. 
We have been travelling Yorkshire these last few weeks working on wind turbine sites.
Halifax, Howden, Scunthorpe.
Undertaking track repair work.
Wind turbine crane pad repairs.
Making great use of our 8 Tonne vibrating roller.
 
 

East Yorkshire – New Farm Track

– 300m of new road excavated to a depth of 250mm.
– 500+ tonne of 80mm – 60mm limestone levelled and compacted.
– 100 tonne of 40mm clean limestone levelled and compacted to finish it off.
– 60 tonnes of road plannings levelled and compacted on the farm entrance leading to the track.
Everything compacted with our 8-tonne vibrating roller.
All the stone delivered to site with our own lorry.
 

Hull – Commercial Yard

Hull – Commercial Yard
70m of failed aco drainage renewed.
Road sawed the effected areas
Dug out the old aco drainage
Installed 2 x 150mm ducts
Bedded the new 45 tonne rated aco’s on 200mm of concrete.
Typed 1 each side to leave 150mm of concrete.
10mm steel mesh installed
Finished off with 26 cube of pac 2 concrete.
All material removed off site with our 20 yard skips.
 

Hull – Stage 1 complete 

4 acre site clearance

– 65 roro skips removed off site.
– 20 and 30 yard skips on return with our lorry.
– Everything moved from soil, hardcore, green tree waste and general waste.
 

Hull – Stage 2 complete

4 acre site clearance
350m of 150mm twin wall ducting for electric and water. Back filled with sand and warning tape.
All drainage installed for new toilet facilities.
Excavated area for car parks –
– 480 tonne soil removed off site.
– 250 tonne of crushed concrete levelled and compacted.
– 300 tonne of 40mm hardened clean limestone. Levelled and rolled.
– 88 cube of concrete laid with a tamp finish.
All materials moved with our own transports.
 

 Footings for a new house excavated

– Strip site to a level.
– Excavate footings
– Inspected ready for concrete
– 1800 tonnes of spoil removed off site.

Hull- Concrete slab over existing bridge

• Shutters formed over bridge.
• 28 cube of concrete pumped.
• 200mm thick with 10mm mesh.
• Brushed finish and a troweled edge.
Increasing the weight limit of the bridge to allow for lorry use.
Working off structural engineers’ drawings.
 

Lincoln – New access road

 
New access road dug out, stoned up and topped with road plannings.
Road built up in 3 layers of stone.
500+ stone used. All moved with our own lorry.
 

New concrete pad and road for a stable block

– Site flailed
– Road dug out to a depth of 200mm
– 500+ Tonne of crushed concrete levelled and compacted.
– Weed membrane laid
– 100+ Tonne of 40mm clean limestone to top the road to finish.
– 25 metre x 6 metre 150mm thick concrete pad laid for stable block.
– All services trenched to the stable block.
– New pond dug and land drainage into it.
– All the soil kept on site to make a bund round the front of the stables.
